Summary: Sanderson-ikas is working together with our client in the financial services industry to hire a skilled professional with expertise in block storage. **Responsibilities**: Design and Implementation: - Architect, implement, and maintain block storage solutions on Linux platforms. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand storage requirements and develop solutions accordingly. - Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of block storage systems. Troubleshooting and Support: - Diagnose and resolve storage-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. - Provide support for Linux-based storage systems, addressing incidents and service requests. - Collaborate with the support team to enhance documentation and knowledge base articles. Performance Optimization: - Monitor and analyze storage performance, identifying opportunities for optimization. - Implement performance tuning strategies to enhance the efficiency of block storage systems. - Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in block storage. Security and Compliance: - Implement security measures to safeguard block storage infrastructure. - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to storage systems. Automation: - Develop scripts and automation tools for the provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance of block storage. - Continuously seek opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
