**Position Objectives**:

- To provide legal and compliance advice and to partner the business to provide solutions to issues while managing legal and compliance risks. Ensure compliance/ provide support to all quality related activities identified in the NQMS Process Descriptions and Support Process Descriptions

**Responsibilities**
- Provide prompt and competent support to Director, Legal to enable Legal to advise and assist the business
- Assists to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies, including data protection, intellectual property, competition law, sustainability, e commerce and digital, and coordinate and execute all actions required by Director Legal. Manages and develops the compliance framework and function.
- Drafting and preparation of contracts, documents, letters, communications, training materials.
- Keeps updated on legal developments and constantly reviews documents and policies to ensure compliance.
- Ensure legal advice is accurate by performing relevant research and ensure proper contract management systems are in place.
- Reviews and advises on Intellectual Property issues and matters, and manages access to IP databases.
- Manages and drives projects independently to achieve desired results.
- Conducts training to enhance awareness and compliance.

**Qualifications and Skill Sets**
- A good degree from a recognized university and being called to the bar in a commonwealth jurisdiction similar to Singapore’s legal system would be an advantage
- Sound knowledge of key legal concepts relating to contract, commercial and businesses (including digital and e businesses)
- Strong analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong drafting, proof reading and research skills
