Infrastructure Engineer, Apac

**About the Role**:
The Infrastructure Engineer is also responsible for IT software and hardware asset management for the APAC region.

The role is based in Singapore and has both local and regional responsibilities.
- Interacts with users in response to end user service requests, ensuring a strong focus on user experience and Customer satisfaction in all interactions
- Adheres to IT Service Management processes in terms of E2E process steps, deliverables and quality
- Ensures IT change management procedures are adhered to for all infrastructure changes
- Produces all necessary system and change management documentation required to deploy changes to infrastructure, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards
- Drives the resolution of escalated and critical local IT incidents / requests, coordinating the response across relevant support teams, and ensures impacted users receive timely communication of resolution status
- Responsible for maintaining a detailed inventory of the APAC region’s software and hardware assets
- Manages and maintains databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organization’s software and hardware.
- Maintains processes, policies, standards, systems and measurements that help the organization to effectively manage the IT asset portfolio daily and long-term (software and technology-related hardware), ensuring cost, risk, compliance and business performance objectives are met.
- Ensures software and hardware asset costs are well controlled and regularly recharged to relevant functions and business units
- Identifies and raisespotential asset portfolio efficiency opportunities to management, and implements improvements where agreed.

**What we are looking for**:

- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure / Operations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- ITIL certification preferred.
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail, methodical approach
- Demonstrable experience of problem solving / analytical skills.
- Broad technology domain experience
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to participate in deployment and hyper-care activities
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional and collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of the latest technologies and concepts of modern IT infrastructure and cloud environments, including associated IT security know-how and process understanding according to ITIL - preferably from SAP/SFDC environments
- Strong knowledge with Linux/Unix and Windows Operating Systems
- Good knowledge and understanding of Firewalls, Network protocols, DNS, TCP/IP and proxy servers.
- Cloud Hosting - working knowledge of Azure/ AWS cloud
- In-depth knowledge, supported by proven experience, in the management of IT outsourcing partnerships including contract and SLA management.
- Proven ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery and information management across the IT organization
- Experience in ITIL tools such as ServiceNow, BMC FootPrints, Atlassian, etc.
