
Senior Executive, Claims

Key responsibilities include the following:
- Assess, negotiate & settle WICA claims in accordance with the WICA2019 Act within authority limits & prescribed timelines
- Assess, negotiate & settle Common law WICA claims within authority limits & timelines
- Collaborate with our appointed TPAs to ensure all WICA2019 task requirements are done efficiently and within given timelines and all information / documents required for claims evaluation are obtained on a timely basis
- Liaise with Loss adjusters to conduct thorough investigation of claims, where required
- Work with our panel lawyers on common law claims and obtain legal advice on claims related matters
- Attend Pre-Hearing conferences with the Ministry of Manpower
- Monitor and provide timely and accurate reporting of large loss
- Liaise with intermediaries on claims related matters
- Attend to enquiries and interact with Injured employee, Non-Government Organization, Medical practitioners, Next of Kin, Legal representatives and Embassies to resolve claims
- Work with internal stakeholders such as Underwriters, service quality department on feedback and claims related matters
- Conduct monthly and ad-hoc claims review to ensure reserve adequacy and files are up to date
- Review recovery potential and pursue recovery action
- Generate monthly/ad-hoc claim reports as & when required
- Provide leadership, coaching & training to junior colleagues where required
- Participate in any other projects/duties as assigned such as department IT projects or training to internal/external stakeholders
**Qualifications - External**
- Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
- Insurance certifications. Must have BCP & ComGI.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in WICA claims. Those with experience handling other Commercial Line claims will have an added advantage.
- Highly organized, strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Collaborative individual with effective communication & interpersonal skills.
