**Why this role matters**
- **Guard financial health.** Own end-to-end finance operations so leadership always has an accurate, timely picture of performance as we scale from 30 to triple-digit headcount.
- **Enable rapid growth.** Build first-principles processes that handle rising transaction volume, multiple revenue streams, and complex grant funding.
- **Ensure 100% compliance.** Keep us fully aligned with IRAS, GST, SkillsFuture, and audit requirements while supporting a remote-first workforce.
**What you’ll do**
**Financial Operations & Reporting**
- Oversee full-set accounts and close books within five working days of the month-end.
- Prepare monthly management packs: P&L, cash-flow forecasts, variance analyses, product-line profitability.
- Reconcile revenue between LMS/CRM, payment gateways, and accounting system to guarantee accuracy.
**Budgeting, Planning & Analysis**
- Lead annual budget and rolling forecasts; partner with department heads to translate strategy into numbers.
- Develop KPI dashboards that alert leadership to margin, liquidity, and burn-rate trends.
**Compliance & Tax**
- File quarterly GST, ECI, and annual corporate tax; monitor changes to Singapore FRS and IRAS guidelines.
- Manage SkillsFuture, IBF, and WSQ grant claims, ensuring documentation passes audit on first submission.
**Process & Systems Improvement**
- Map all income/expense flows and tighten internal controls.
- Implement or optimise cloud accounting stack (Xero + automation tools) to cut manual work.
- Design a quarterly finance checklist to eliminate slip-ups such as missed credit notes or late grant claims.
**Team Leadership**
- Manage and a team of finance executives; set clear OKRs and promote continuous learning.
- Collaborate with the HR function on payroll inputs, commission calculations, and benefits reconciliation.
**What we’re looking for**
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance or ACCA; **6+ years** progressive accounting experience with **2+ years** in a managerial role.
- Expert knowledge of Singapore FRS, GST, and corporate tax.
- Proven track record of accelerating close cycles and building automated, audit-ready processes.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets plus hands-on with Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite; bonus if you can wrangle Zapier or SQL for reporting.
- High EQ communicator — able to explain finance to non-finance stakeholders and support tough cost-control conversations.
- Passion for continuous learning and a genuine belief in empowering professionals through courses.
