Part-time Special Education Teacher

Novena, Singapore REACh Therapy Services Full time

We have a vacancy for a Part-time Special Education Teacher to plan, prepare and implement lesson plans for children with special needs. Only Singaporeans need apply. We regret foreigners cannot be considered because this is a part-time job.

**Requirements**:

- Education/training in Special Education as a minimum, i.e. Degree or Diploma holder. Qualifications in a related field are welcome to apply
- Must have at least 5 ‘O’ level credits, with at least a B grade in English
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working with children with special needs
- Experience writing Individual Education Plans (IEP)
- Have experience using assessment tools to gauge ability
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedicated, patient and understanding when working with pupils

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement IEPs for each pupil and track progress accordingly
- To plan and teach meaningful lessons
- Prepare and use a varied choice of appropriate teaching and instructional aids to cater to the different levels of learning abilities in pupils
- Writing reports
- Must be prepared to deal with resistant and controlling behaviour
- Good team player

**Employment Type**

PART-TIME (9:00am-1:30pm); Monday to Friday
