**What a Procurement Engineer does at HP**:

- As a member of the Display Procurement team, you will be responsible to drive innovation, partner with R&D to support NPI, Develop Display Roadmap and work with the global team on Pan-HP Leverage.
- Assess LCD & Touch panel supplier quality and manufacturing capabilities.
- Execute LCD & Touch panel supplier audits (Fab and module sites).
- Drive LCD & Touch quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage/resolve LCD & Touch Panel quality issues at MPA/ODM.
- Coordinates portions of the global engineering relationship with a supplier of external hardware, components, materials, or services for the development and manufacturing of a product or service line.
- Reviews and evaluates supplier product designs, processes, and activities to ensure compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards; provides results and recommendations to procurement engineering leadership.
- Upholds a culture of compliance by strictly adhering to purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controls, ensuring transparent and ethical procurement practices.
- Nurtures collaborative relationships with suppliers to drive quality enhancements and cost reductions, enhancing overall procurement outcomes.
- Offers vital support in tracking and reporting supplier performance, actively addressing and resolving supplier performance issues.
- Performs tests, troubleshooting, and engineering analysis of defective product units or sub-assemblies; consolidates results of customer feedback and manufacturing, test, and quality assurance processes for product.
- Assumes an active role in supporting the global procurement organization, catering to the needs of internal and/or external clients.
- Communicates product and process issue analysis to procurement engineering leader and product team; works with supplier to implement specified changes to product or process to reduce defects, improve quality, and lower costs.
- Offers instrumental support to others in implementing actions to mitigate risks, contributing to the overall risk reduction strategy.

**Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess**:

- Graduate or Masters Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in purchasing/ sourcing, planning, project management, compliance and quality assurance, supplier relationship management, or a related field.
- Good to have skills: Auditing (supplier audits), Displays and Touch panel Technology and Industry Trend, New Product Development, Procurement, Project Management, Purchasing, SAP Applications, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Identification and Selection, Supplier Management, Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Supply Chain, Supply Chain Management, Vendor Management.
