The Technical Architect is responsible for the upkeep of architecture strategy and roadmap of IB’s Salesforce platform that supports the vision of the IB organization.

Demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and capabilities in assessing customer architecture; designing secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Lightning Platform; communicating technical solutions and design tradeoffs effectively to business stakeholders, and providing a delivery framework that ensures quality and success.

**Job Duties**:

- Collaborates with other domain experts whilst retaining accountability of the solution architecture
- Promotes and champions technical architecture strategy through strong communication
- Establish cadence of interaction throughout the architecture team, IT department, project teams and the IB in general to ensure alignment
- Enforcing standards, working practices and procedures to drive platform architecture work in a uniform manner
- Monitoring, guidance and regular workshops held within the team to ensure alignment is maintained and deliverables and processes are constantly improving and evolving in line with organizational changes.
- Demonstrate good understanding of business planning, leading both business and technical colleagues throughout the course of solution development.
- Addresses tactical business objectives and evaluates the impacts his solution could have to the organization's overall business processes and strategies.
- Interface with stakeholder groups to help them envision the solution value and how it will benefit them in the longer term
- Keeps up to date on industry trends and technology development where it relates to educational software and its use by other examination boards and other educational institutions
- Research and recommend new technical opportunities
- Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources as well as to collaborate with cross-function project teams to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan
- Work with suppliers and business partners to understand the technical merits and short and long-term strategic fit of potential products and services aligned with the IB’s technical strategy
- Develop Request for Proposal (RFP) based on requirements gathered from internal customers

**Qualifications**:

- At least 10 years of IT work experience on Salesforce, 8 years as technical or system architect.
- IT related degree or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce Architect level (Technical, System, IAM) certification is required.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform and specifically regarding Apex Triggers, Aura, Visualforce Pages, Components and Enterprise Architecture
