**Job Summary**

To assist the Underwriters in all aspects of underwriting and management of the Treaty portfolio. Provide support to the team for analysis of pricing models, preparing management information reports as well as carrying out regular administrative tasks.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Pre-underwriting of risks and preparation of appropriate statistics, building familiarity with the underwriting process under guidance of the Underwriter
- Engage in daily correspondence with brokers, including attending broker meetings and providing feedback to the team as appropriate
- Ensure that underwriting systems are properly updated and accurately recorded in order to meet internal requirements
- Assistance with ad-hoc projects, including account analysis, research tasks and preparation of management reports
- Coordinate with the Central Operations team on behalf of the Underwriting team
- Liaise with the Claims Department and assist Underwriters with loss reporting

**Relevant Experience**
- Preference for 0-1 years’ experience working in insurance/reinsurance sector

- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of seniority
- Enthusiasm to work as part of a strong team
- Flexibility to adapt to a pressured environment

**Technical Skills**
- Strong numeracy skills essential
- Microsoft Outlook - Basic
- Microsoft Word - Basic
- Microsoft Excel - Intermediate

**Language Skills**
- Conversational fluency in both written and spoken English

**Education And Qualifications**
- 5 GCSE’s English and Maths grade ‘C’ or above
- 3 ‘A’ Level passes
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree Preferred but not Essential
- Job holders will be expected to gain ACII accreditation.
