Senior Associate, Policy Data Analytics

Your Responsibilities
- Data analysis and modelling: Analyse individual-level data and perform statistical techniques (e.g. run fixed effect models, panel data techniques) to evaluate the impact of programmes
- Manage and lead projects: Responsible for the delivery and oversight of complex multi-method projects across the project life-cycle (from inception to outputs), including managing multiple collaborators, partners and teams
- Building client relationships: Work to cement and develop trusted adviser relationships with teams across the public sector and encouraging a customer focused approach within development, evaluation, and data analytics team to reflect our client first strategy
- Mentoring: Mentor & coach junior team members on client communication, project management, analytics best practice and relevant methodologies

Your Profile
- A solid understanding of social science research methodology with a track record of deep experience in data wrangling and cleaning for complex projects
- Solid understanding of quantitative research method capabilities to lead the design of quantitative methods needed for analysis in projects (e.g. data wrangling, identifying outliers, regression diagnostics, evaluation studies, creating indices)
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with data analysis across a range of including methods including regression diagnostics and modelling
- Highly qualified in the use of R, STATA in data analysis, or other similar software for data analysis (e.g. Python)
- Education: Good degree/master’s in PPE (Politics, Philosophy, Economics) or Economics / Applied Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation, etc
- Other social science methods: Broader social science research experience (e.g. polling, social impact evaluation/ Social return on investment measurement, psychometrics, hierarchical linear modelling)
- Policy knowledge: Existing knowledge (across sectors) and established relationships within the public sector and a commitment to delivering high quality and impactful research in this area
- Qualitative studies: Experience with designing and implementing qualitative studies would be a plus
- Project Management: Strong track record of managing complex projects
- Personal attributes: A high level of energy, stamina and action orientation. Able to work under pressure, with the credibility and resilience to challenge and be challenged
- Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and operate effectively in a complex, client facing organisation. A great teammate, with a ‘can do’ approach
