Nursing Aide

As a Nursing Aide, your primary responsibility will be to support the nursing team in various aspects of resident care. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitoring residents' vital signs
- Assisting in medication administration under the supervision of registered nurses
- Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring resident safety at all times
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of resident care and observations
- Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
- Collaborating with the nursing team to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Participating in the implementation of care plans and carrying out delegated nursing tasks
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- **Knowledge**:Basic understanding of healthcare terminology, infection control, and safety protocols.
Knowledge of common diseases and age-related conditions. Familiarity with ADLs and geriatric care practices.
- **Skills**:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team.Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively in a team setting. Strong observation and documentation skills. Proficiency in basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
- **Attitudes**:Compassion and empathy towards residents, demonstrating a genuine desire to improve their well-being. Respect for cultural diversity and the ability to provide culturally sensitive care. Patience and a positive attitude when facing challenges. Professionalism and integrity in maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
