Data Center Security Operations Specialist

Provide on-site security support in customer-owned or leased data centers, customer-operated warehouse spaces, and designated areas.
- Conduct daily site walks, diagnose security hardware issues, and report findings for immediate escalation.
- Perform inspections of critical spaces within the data center, including data halls, storage rooms, loading docks, and other assigned areas.
- Support high-value or high-priority rack moves and deployments as a security overseer.
- Report safety violations as part of the site safety compliance program.
- Participate in physical audits of data center infrastructure.
- Contribute to the development of site-related processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide 100% on-site support with no remote work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Data Center Operations, Logistics, Safety, and XOC.
- Follow specific task instructions and provide necessary reporting.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
**Must-have**:
- Possess a PLRD license.
- Proficient in report writing and incident response.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills for hardware and software issues.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
- Ability to work at and travel between assigned locations, including data centers and warehouses.
- Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Familiarity with security devices such as card readers and cameras.
**Nice to have**:
- Experience working in a data center environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of data center safety and security practices.
- Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Previous experience in security and/or safety is desirable.
- Experience with colocation (COLO) environments is a plus.
