Our client is an agricultural multinational corporation, selling in over 50 countries. The company is one of the worlds largest producer of fruit and vegetables. They have operations in over 50 countries world-wide.

Currently looking for an Assistant Accountant, 6 months to 1 year contract, renewable or convertible to permanent position.

Salary between S$ 4000 to S$4600 per month with other benefits.

Responsibilities:
The Assistant Accountant is to support the Accountant APAC South with finance related tasks, covering financial accounting, managerial accounting, tax, treasury, and reporting activities for APAC South Markets, i.e. Singapore, Australia, and Vietnam for NZ and ZGS businesses.

Completing financial tasks for the region and working with the Accountant to optimize financial processes and deliver assigned tasks. This includes supporting/preparing forecast and budgets to drive optimal financial decision making, assessment and reporting.

Completing internal and external financial reporting, accounting, and statutory tasks, including taxation.

Supporting the Finance Team to mitigating risk through best practice governance, effective business systems and internal controls for the region.

Completing assigned tasks for Horizon such as, but not limited to, local design phase and User Acceptance Tests. Non-Finance stream tasks would be assigned as well. All other duties reasonably assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum Accounting Degree qualified, or similar Chartered accountancy qualification is a strong plus. Competence in Excel spreadsheets and power point presentation

Experience with assisting the preparation of corporate tax returns, VAT and WHT returns Experience with SAP Able to communicate well in English

Min 5 years’ experience in a medium to large organization

At least five years corporate finance experience at equivalent level in a market-led FMCG company and/or distribution group Good tax knowledge relating to the operation of a multinational corporations
