**Job Description**:
The role has a dual reporting line to the Chairman of the Board's Audit & Risk Committee and the Managing Director.

The Group Head, Risk Management and Internal Audit will:

- lead, direct and control Toll’s risk management and internal audit resources to deliver a step change transformation of Toll’s risk culture and directly contribute to the organisation’s broader strategic transformation to uplift the long-term health of Toll’s corporate governance and business performance.
- Set the functional strategy and contribute to Toll’s strategic planning and decision-making through credible and timely risk advice that supports the implementation of both divisional and organisation-wide solutions that align with Toll’s vision and its current and long-term business objectives.
- Provide independent and objective assurance to the Board, Managing Director and Global Leadership Team (GLT) over the effectiveness of company-wide governance, risk management and internal control processes.
- Determine the optimal risk financing strategy for Toll and direct its implementation.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with Board members at both Japan Post Holdings and Toll Holdings, GLT members, senior management globally, and with professional advisory firms.
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of senior managers to ensure that the organisation’s risk management strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to guidelines established by the function.

**Qualifications**:
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:

- Significant prior experience advising boards, chief executive officers and C-suite executives on a range of corporate governance, strategic risk management and assurance matters. Ability to both influence and translate strategy into plans and deliverables.
- Well-developed commercial acumen, influencing and negotiation skills within the context of highly complex global organisations experiencing significant change / disruption.
- Proven experience leading change programs gained in multi-faceted, international businesses of significant scale with a large operational workforce.
- Refined presentation skills (to internal and external audiences) - ability to convey complex matters into common business understanding, to flex style to the audience and to convincingly promote company priorities.
- Expert knowledge of international auditing and risk management standards.
- Working knowledge of international regulatory frameworks and obligations, including trade sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, competition and modern slavery.
- Experience, intellectual curiosity and mental stamina to quickly develop a working understanding of diverse business areas (financial, operational, technology, legal, etc.) to interpret business objectives, understand risks and advise management on effective risk mitigation.
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading people across multiple locations within a global organisation and matrix structure.
