Offshore Service Technician

Singapore OSI ASIA Full time

Capable of independently representing the company offshore. Key role is to inspect OSI’s full range of connector products and be a hands-on supervisor for the equipment’s downhole installation at the drilling rig. Can follow written procedures and is thorough and systematic when performing inspection work.

Able to communicate product technical capabilities and requirements to the on-site senior drilling supervisors.

Must be a Malaysian passport holder (being Sarawak-based would be advantageous) and be available to travel to international locations to conduct work on behalf of OSI.

Able to supervise rig crews in the installation of OSI’s casing products. Moreover, willing to support IRM field work for other product groups if called upon.

Able to produce JSAs and participates (can be vocal) in pre-job safety toolbox talks.

Able to produce concise job reports, which are required to be submitted within one week of job completion.

Able to read engineering drawings.

Shall be prepared to work at overseas / offshore locations for up to 28 days + travel time. Typically working 12hr shifts and often on night shift.

Shall be prepared to mobilise and travel on short (24 hrs) notice.

Able to pass an OGUK offshore medical examination.

Able to complete and pass an oilfield emergency survival course (BOSIET).

Able to maintain a standard of physical fitness required for hands-on labour on regular 12hr shifts.

To manage and report personal company expenses, within one week of the completion of the job.

**Formal Education & Certification**

Diploma preferably in Engineering or equivalent.

Obtain valid of Petronas medical

Obtain valid of OGUK _Offshore Medical_

BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction And Emergency Training) OPITO Certified
- Hydrogen Sulphide_ (_H2S_) OPITO Certified

**Knowledge & Experience**

Must have 5 years general experience in offshore casing installation and handling.

Good understanding of oilfield drilling rig operations.

Basic understanding of mechanical principles.

Proven experience instructing / supervising rig crews and liaising with clients.

Direct experience working with OSI Connector products would be very advantageous.

**Personal Attributes**

Self-motivated and capable of independent problem solving and making sound decisions.

Speaks & reads English fluently.

Malaysian Passport holder

Based in Sarawak, East Malaysia (preferably Miri)
