Edge Marketing is looking for an inspirational and experienced Head of SEO to join our team

This is one of the most desirable Head of SEO roles currently available in Australia, located in

beautiful Burleigh Heads, and in (arguably) the coolest office in agency land

As our Head of SEO, you'll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive SEO

strategies for our diverse client portfolio, managing your team of SEO specialists, and supporting

the company’s growth when required during sales opportunities.

More than that, you’ll be a champion of our fun, but results-driven culture. A team player who

knows how to have a laugh rather than just a workhorse.

We target growth-minded, medium-size businesses and work in industries from education to

manufacturing to ecomm to childcare to law/professional services and almost everything in

between

The serious bits.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Proven success in a senior SEO role, in an agency setting, where you have driven high and

consistent page 1 rankings across a breadth of industries with converting, intent-driven

keywords.
- Experience managing a team of SEO professionals.
- Knowledge of off-site, on-site, and technical SEO. With superior knowledge and

experience with off-site SEO.
- Proficiency in a wealth of CMS systems including but not limited to Wordpress, Shopify,

Drupal etc.
- Experience with SEO reporting and familiarity with relevant tools (e.g Ahrefs, Screaming

Frog,, Surfer SEO, Page Optimiser Pro and more) and web analytics tools (e.g., Google

Analytics 4).
- Comfortable in sales meetings where you will on occasions support the sales team with

new and existing partners

You'll be responsible for:

- Leading off-site optimization projects,
- Overseeing the link building strategies,
- Conducting keyword research,
- Optimizing website content,
- Managing your SEO team

As the chief advocate for your department, you will need to truly LOVE the challenge of SEO and

staying ahead of the dynamic world of search engine algorithms.

You will be an excellent communicator and be able to work effectively within a team and

independently. You will feel very comfortable in supporting our sales team in client pitches and

campaign reviews.
