**THK**MC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. **THK**MC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. **THK**MC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
DESIGNATION : Centre Manager (Sheltered Workshop)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Centre Manager is responsible for managing the operations of the THK Pan-Disability Centre, a Sheltered Workshop for adults with disabilities who are keen and capable in learning pre-vocational and vocational skills.
The Centre Manager will be the lead in the development and implementation of initiatives, including policies, procedures and standards as well as risk management frameworks. This is to ensure that high standards of training, curriculum development and trainee well-being are observed.
The Centre Manager will also oversee the Centre's manpower requirements and staff professional development.
**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Manage the day-to-day operations and oversee the running of the daily program.
- Align with the requirements of Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF)/SgEnable and THKMC in operating a sheltered workshop.
- Co-develop new strategies, training frameworks and curriculum with the Allied Health Professionals to improve the quality of the learning environment and thereby enhancing the employability of adults with disabilities.
- Network and collaborate with relevant stakeholders and community partners through marketing campaigns to deepen our awareness within the larger community.
- Ensure the keeping of accurate records of trainees including their attendance, performance and development.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in budget exercise and manage budget in accordance with its allocations.
- Prepare periodic reports on Centre's progress for both internal and external circulation.
- Oversee the purchasing of items and equipment needed in the Centre and maintain the Centre's facilities.
- Manage incidents and ensure that significant incidents are reported, tracked and resolved satisfactorily and timely.
- Participate in the recruitment, managing, developing and evaluation of Centre staff.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma/Degree in relevant discipline
OTHER INFORMATION
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a position of leadership and operational management
- Experience in a social service setting preferred
- Passionate and willing to work with persons with disabilities
- Able to work independently, handle confidential information in a professional manner, yet be a team player in meeting the organisation's needs.
- Strong in verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
