- about 1 hour ago- We are currently working with global hyperscale Data Centre Operator with seeking a self-driven, highly motivated high voltage director to work within the Singapore office for the APAC portfolio. If you are successful in the role, you will have the opportunity to work with a DC Operator with significant coverage in the APAC region. You will also be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package, and to work with a team of energetic and driven professionals.**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop the company's HV and LV operations framework to be as safe as possible, meeting or exceeding local code requirement and industry best practise
- Fulfil the role of HV authorised person for the management of all infrastructure
- Develop and manage the HV training system to ensure that all HV operators are fully competent to operate within the HV infrastructure
- Write and/or review all HV MOP’s and switching schedules
- Provide continual improvement to the existing HV systems designs by interfacing with the technology team during design phases to give key operational input
- Ensure the HV network assets are maintained to all applicable scopes of works and required standards
- Assist site operations teams in the resolution of incident related, standing or emerging problems which fall outside of the local operations capacity
- Assist in the development of asset management strategies
- Conduct limited hands-on asset maintenance activities as required, especially around HV systems
- Prepare or review MOP’s and switching procedures
- Prepare inspection, maintenance and safety programs
- Develop and deliver site specific HV Operations training to staff
- Identify cost saving opportunities and system improvements
- Assist sites where required with the management and maintenance of the HV network, self
- delivering some aspects of maintenance- Manage HV and other related incidents and events, including event investigations, root cause analysis and problem management
- Assist in the successful resolve of post construction related punch list items
- Assist project and commissioning engineers with electrical related issues when required
- Represent operations during new facility commissioning efforts
- Provide authorising engineer specialist support to site teams
- Assist technology department reviews and provide operational input to designs

**Key Requirements**:

- Extensive experience with a utility or in electrical contracting as a HV operator, with experience at 44kv and above
- Electrical trade background preferably with knowledge and experience of power generation, low voltage switch gear, ATS, UPS systems
- Have an excellent technical knowledge of HV systems and assets such as switchgear & transformers
- Flexible and organised to manage workload to meet deadlines
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Willingness to travel throughout Australia & overseas; previous Asia-Pacific experience preferred
- Strong communicator and ability to interact with all professional levels within an organisation.
- Professional attitude with persuasive skills in making things happen
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
