Aws Engineer

As an AWS Engineer you'd be able to work on and solve some of the many interesting challenges we are facing, learn new ways of working, and build delightful high-quality products for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:
**Role Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for the architecture, design, planning, implementation, maintenance, and operations of AWS cloud infrastructure, to run at scale for a regulated organisation
- Be responsible for the infrastructure of production systems
- Build & manage CI/CD pipelines for cloud, server, and container-based technologies
- Work alongside architecture and other engineering teams to design and implement well-architected software and services
- Ensure necessary platform & system security by using best in class cloud security practices and solutions
- Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company
- Recommend process and architecture improvements
- Oversee pre-production acceptance testing to ensure the high quality of a company's services and products

In order to be successful at the role, you must have the following:

- You would have at least 5 years of working experience on AWS Engineering; to be specific, any experience in architecting, designing, developing and implementing AWS solutions at scale is ideal.
- Knowledge of AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, ALB, ElasticCache, Auto-scaling Group, S3, VPC, EKS, ECS, Cloudfront, Route53, CloudWatch, Lambda would be required
- Ideally experience, knowledge or interest in SRE
- You would also have an educational background in Computer Science or related fields to have strong foundational knowledge of computer science fundamentals
- Experience in: Terraform (Enterprise), Sentinel, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, or Nginx etc would be advantageous
- Overall, you will have strong understanding of IT infrastructure and the best practices across its different domains
- Will have great communication skills and be capable of taking ownership of challenging problems, seeing them through to completion

**Good to have (Optional)**:

- Interest in chaos engineering, continuous improvement and system optimisation
- Knowledge of other cloud provider like GCP or Azure

**Role Specific Technical Competencies**
