**Title**:
Principal Engineer (Weight Engineer)

**Responsibilities**:
- Weight and Centre of Gravity management for major offshore projects associated with oil and gas industry

Under broad direction, working to a defined budget and program

Interfacing with Project multi discipline teams at all levels

Utilizing industry knowledge and benchmarking tools to compile weight and centre of gravity estimates

Under general supervision, plan, organize, coordinate and control projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by client

Has responsibility for day to day contact and communication with the client and focus on providing client satisfaction

Supervise personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders

Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities

Management of internal and external project interfaces

Responsible for delivery of project deliverables in accordance with the project schedule, including early identification and resolution of problems that may impact progress

**Job Requirements**:
- Degree in Structural Engineering with a minimum of 12 years’ related experience or can demonstrate equitable experience gained in a multi discipline environment in a supervisory role

Must have experience of weight and centre of gravity management in the oil and gas industry.

Needs to be able to communicate effectively at all levels, especially in a multi-discipline project environment, with good potential to develop strong leadership skills

Effective user of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Word, also good knowledge of databases and design tools (E3D, AutoCAD, etc.) essential

Experience with oil and gas engineering company doing Offshore projects

Experience and knowledge of procurement, topsides/module fabrication is preferred

Knowledge of multi discipline execution of offshore projects

Knowledge of 3D CAD and other Engineering and Design Tools including Navisworks
