**Responsibilities**:

- Data Integration: Develop ETL processes to integrate data from various sources, ensuring accurate data flow for policy administration, claims, and reporting.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code to enhance database performance, ensuring efficient processing of large datasets common in insurance systems.
- Data Modeling: Collaborate with data architects to design and implement logical and physical data models tailored to insurance workflows (e.g., premiums, claims, reinsurance).
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop database scripts to support business intelligence reports, dashboards, and analytics for actuarial, underwriting, and financial teams.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure database solutions comply with insurance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, or local standards) and implement secure coding practices to protect sensitive customer data.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for database designs, processes, and code for future reference and audits.

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development with at least 4+ yrs of experience in Architecture & Design.
- 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry or familiarity with insurance processes (policy administration, claims, underwriting, etc.).
- Proficient in Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c), PL/SQL programming, and SQL query optimization.
- Experience with Oracle tools like SQL Developer, TOAD, or SQL*Plus.
- Knowledge of data modeling, indexing, and partitioning for high-volume databases.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Oracle Data Integrator) is a plus.
- Understanding of insurance-specific data structures (e.g., policy, claims, or customer data).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Oracle Forms/Reports, APEX, or Java integration with PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of insurance platforms like Guidewire, Duck Creek, or InsureTech solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure) and database migration.
- Certification in Oracle Database or PL/SQL development
