**Key responsibilities**:
1. Understand the Sugar market: production & consumption, global & regional trade flow, country-specific policies

2. Seek new business opportunities in the SEA region and work as a team to develop new accounts

3. Interact with traders and handle negotiations of both parties (seller and buyer) concerned

4. Build and maintain a lasting relationship with customers, suppliers, and agents

5. Develop a new customer portfolio with a focus on the Asia market, actively look for new customers to grow sales

6. Generate trade deals, negotiate terms with related parties, and ensure completion of each trade

7. Ensure proper execution of trades (physical and paper)

8. Daily reconciliation of trading transactions with documents

9. Preparation of trading summary reports

10. Manage and report the risk of your customers’ portfolio

11. Work closely with the sugar team in maintaining a healthy P&L

12. Liaise with the Operations and Finance department

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics /Supply Chain/Business/Shipping/International Commerce or equivalent

2. 2-3 years of experience as a Trader in the sugar trading industry

3. Good market knowledge preferably the white sugar would be an added advantage

4. Proven track records in trading strategies and commercial experience

5. Knowledge of international shipping terms, hedging, the futures market

6. Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills

7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

8. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin

9. Mandarin speaking is mandatory to liaise with our Chinese counterparts

10. Able to travel to China & Vietnam
