Trading Analyst

**The Role**:
**What’s the role?**
The Trading Analyst provides support to the short-term trading team which includes data entry, exposure, and P&L (profit and loss) analysis and trading analytics.

Specifically, this role is required to:

- Performing daily and ad-hoc exposure and PNL reporting and accuracy analysis
- Perform post deal analysis and reconciliation on deal P&L against pre-deal economics and assumptions.
- Collate, gather, and disseminate market intelligence to the global team.
- Perform up to date analysis of competitive landscape (e.g. around the counterpart, tender, etc.).
- Assist traders with deal and contract checks against key contract summaries and position limitations.
- Assist the trading team in registering new counterparts and in MSA negotiation.
- Assist Traders in credit checks.
- Assist DLNG Trader/ DLNG Operations with exposure and PNL management
- Assist in long-term system improvement project
- Work with Operations on problem resolution and flag to Traders if commercial intervention is required.
- Update Sharepoint as necessary.
- Always remain compliant with requirements of the Shell Trading Compliance Manual and the Code of Conduct.

**What we need from you**
- Knowledge of PNL and Exposure trading systems is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of the LNG and /or oil business (and specifically trading) an advantage
- Highly focused on bottom line profitability.
- Able to perform and communicate clearly under time pressure.
- Highly numerate with good analytical capacities.
- Able to perform in a global business with remote colleagues.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Commerciality is a key factor for success
- High capacity to manage and enjoy the capturing and real time analysis of a large amount of constantly changing data.
