**Job Summary**:
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) ensures that all materials, components, and services provided by suppliers meet Cragar Industries’ stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in maintaining product integrity, supporting ISO13485 compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supplier Evaluation & Qualification**Assess and approve suppliers based on capability, compliance, and performance metrics.
Conduct supplier audits and process reviews to ensure adherence to ISO13485 and Cragar’s quality standards.
- **Quality Assurance & Compliance**Develop and implement supplier quality plans, inspection protocols, and control systems.
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs such as On-Time Deliver.
- **Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement**Investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with suppliers to drive process improvements and reduce defect rates.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**Work closely with Procurement, Engineering, and Production teams to align supplier quality objectives with business needs.
Support New Product Development (NPI) projects by qualifying new suppliers and materials.
- **Documentation & Reporting**Maintain accurate records of audits, certifications, and supplier performance evaluations.
Prepare reports for management on supplier quality trends and improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**:Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
- **Experience**:Minimum 3-5 years in supplier quality or manufacturing quality roles, preferably in the biomedical or precision engineering industry.
- **Technical Skills**:Knowledge of ISO13485, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis tools.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality management systems.
- **Soft Skills**:Strong communication, problem-solving, and supplier relationship management abilities.
