Centre Head, Melrose Care

Ensure that the Professional Team’s processes and practice standards are in accordance with sector’s requirements and the team of professionals deliver therapeutic interventions according to local professional ethics and standards as well as prevailing international standards.
**Leadership**
Under the guidance and support of the Director, the Centre Head is to lead Melrose Care effectively while prioritizing client welfare, staff development, and operational success. He/she is to provide leadership in the following areas:
- Clinical Knowledge and Practices: The incumbent is to be aware of the best practices in counselling, therapeutic interventions and ethical standards, especially in the area of trauma informed interventions. The incumbent in to be able to make decisions that would inform service quality, program development, and client care
- Strategic Vision and Program Development: The incumbent is to set goals (both short
- and long-term) for the team. The incumbent is to identify key partnerships that would enhance the service delivery and service impact. The incumbent is to stay updated on emerging mental health trends and ensure that Melrose Care’s offerings align with community needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement: The incumbent is to ensure effective engagement with the community and other stakeholders to expand access to and utilization of the Centre's services. The Centre Head ensures that the team’s expertise remains relevant and accessible to the communities we serve.
**Strategic Vision and Program Development**
Under the guidance and support of the Director, the Centre Head is to:
- Vision and Mission Alignment: The incumbent is to ensure that all centre’s strategic initiatives align with CAS’s overall vision, mission, and values. The incumbent collaborates with the leadership team to interpret these guiding principles into actionable goals that address current needs and anticipate future challenges.
- Needs Assessment and Data Analysis: The incumbent is to conduct assessments of the centre’s strengths, growth areas, and the community needs. This includes analysing service usage data, client feedback, and emerging trends in mental health and counselling to inform strategy and identify areas for improvement.
- Goal Setting and Prioritization: The incumbent is to establish clear, measurable goals that support the organisation’s overall vision, mission and values. The incumbent sets priorities, balancing immediate operational needs with long-term goals to enhance service delivery, program quality, and client satisfaction.
- Resource Allocation and Budgeting: The incumbent is to plan and allocate resources—such as staff, budget, and facilities—to support strategic initiatives. The Centre Head is responsible for creating financial plans that sustain current programs and allocate funds for growth or improvement in priority areas.
**Professional**
Together with the Director, the Centre Head is to provide the following for the team:
- Oversee Quality Assurance and Best Practices: The incumbent is to ensure that clinical practices align with established guidelines, evidence-based techniques, and the centre’s values. The incumbent is to regularly review case files, session notes, and treatment plans of his/her four supervisees, to ensure that consistent standards of care is maintained for clients.
- Oversee Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to professional practice: The incumbent is responsible for establishing, monitoring, and assessing KPIs that reflect the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of professional practice within the centre. This includes setting benchmarks for client satisfaction, service delivery times, case management standards, and clinical outcomes.
- Policy and Protocol Development: The incumbent is to develop and update policies related to clinical practice, such as intake procedures, case management guidelines, and client rights documentation. He/she is to ensure these are accessible and well-communicated to all team members to standardize processes.
- Adoption of a Systems Approach in Client Care: Together with the Director, the incumbent is to offer support and guidance to the team in their adoption of a systems approach in their case assessment and interventions. The incumbent is to guide the team to consider how trauma impacts and is impacted by a broader system of relationships and environments. This understanding is essential for effectively supporting individuals in trauma recovery.
- Stakeholder and Community Coordination: To offer guidance and support to the supervisees in their stakeholder and community coordination, such as social services, mental health agencies, and healthcare professionals, to enhance collaborative care and to facilitate a holistic approach to client support.
