**Your Mission**

Our new Legal Counsel APAC, will be the first member of the Nuvei Legal team based in APAC. You will be comfortable working in a multinational organisation and enjoy having a high level of autonomy, you will enjoy support from our legal teams in Tel Aviv and Montreal. You will be commercially minded and pragmatic and able to draw on your payments industry experience to provide Legal Expertise to the business in APAC and work on M&A activity as it comes up in the region. You will have the gravitas to be seen as a partner by the business and be comfortable to make decisions and ensure that group standards are upheld. This is a role that requires minimum 5 years of PQE and has previously worked in the payments industry.

**You Will**
- You will be the representative of the Legal team in APAC. You’ll be working autonomously, reporting back and seeking guidance as required from the Senior Legal Counsel you report into. For a large part of your working day, you will be working independently due to time zones
- You will need to own drafting, negotiation and management of various commercial agreements, management of corporate governance matters for Nuvei and its subsidiaries, and provide product and sales with Legal support as Nuvei continues to develop payment solutions for merchants around the world supported by teams in Tel Aviv and Montreal
- Able to handle a variety of issues within tight deadlines, you have a great sense of professionalism and excel under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
- Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the legal department and across all businesses

**About You**
- Qualified lawyer in APAC with minimum 5 years post qualification experience (PQE) working in the payments industry previously
- Experience of M&A transactions and integration desirable but not essential
- Commercially focused and pragmatic and capable of partnering with Senior business leaders
- Comfortable working autonomously
- Great ability to develop interpersonal relationships
