**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Department: MLCC production

Reports to: Assistant Manager

Functional relationships:

- MLCC production, Machinery engineering, Quality control, and Production control
- MLCC process engineering in related factories in Japan
- MLCC-related R&D in Japan
- MLCC process engineering in oversea affiliates: China and Philippine

**POSITION PROFILE**:
This position is to propel improvement for MLCC manufacturing process & products in terms of quality, efficiency and manufacturing cost with highly specialized process & product knowledge.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- To improve the quality of MLCC products.
- To propel cost reduction of MLCC products.
- To improve MLCC manufacturing process efficiency.
- To transfer new technologies from Japanese factories to local staff in Singapore.
- Be the bridge personnel between Japan factories and related R&D departments to get necessary information timely and to implement into the factory in Singapore.
- To grasp new technology and make improvement proposals in quality, cost, efficiency, and safety.
- Policy, Strategy alignment and coordination of PJT by collaborating with group companies in Japan.
- To initiate a periodical meeting with group companies in Japan to solve problems within its Division.

**Ability/Competency required**:

- Master's degree in Engineering and/or a related field is required
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in the electronics sector.
- To have specialized technical knowledge and experience in manufacturing & processing.
- Fluent business Japanese language skills to liaise with Japanese factories, R&D departments, and affiliate companies.
- To have logical thinking, analytical skill, and sound engineering sense.
- To have a strong mindset for change and improvement.
- To have a proactive attitude and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- To have networking ability with MLCC-related functions.
