Procurement Manager

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The role will support the planning, implementation and purchasing and procurement strategies for various goods and services spend across CULINES globally. This includes acquiring resources within budget, facilitating communication between team members, suppliers, and key business partners, and proactively planning and sourcing the appropriate goods and services to help CULINES grow and meet its strategic objectives. You'll have the autonomy and freedom to deliver innovative solutions, support regional specific needs and global category plans.
- Work with a diverse team of professionals covering ports in the company’s network that include but not limited to the regions of Asia and Middle East.
- Manage terminal, depot, trucking, feeder contractual negotiation and outcome.
- Develop procurement strategy for vendor negotiation and conduct vendor service level performance review.
- Direct negotiation with vendors and conduct centrally managed tenders.
- Drive cost savings in your area of operations.
- Constant review to identify areas for cost improvement i.e. review of tariffs, assessment of market, benchmarking, high frequency of exceptional wastage costs.
- Work closely with other departments in both Singapore and Shanghai HQ office to identify needs and achieve optimal results.
- Provide global and regional leadership across end-to-end category accountabilities including category strategy development, business partner engagement, sourcing, contracting, negotiating and supplier management.
- Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management, improvement of end-to-end value and innovation.
- Effectively communicate procurement strategies to team members, and partners in a timely and clear way.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key team members, stakeholder and ensure regular communication and reporting as appropriate.
- Develop, establish, implement, and carry out supplier and out-source guidelines, obligations, and service level agreements.
- Constantly source, identify, and qualify potential new vendors or suppliers in order to secure more cost-effective sources of products and services.
- Travel to meet terminal vendors and review vendor facilities on a regular basis.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Minimum a Degree in Business or Procurement Related field or relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, complemented by strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- Strong attention to details, accuracy, and quality work, strategic minded, with good analytical & critical thinking skills with strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Resourceful individual, well organized, results/time orientated, good influencing, excellent prioritization skills and magnificent negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate effectively & clearly to manage key stakeholders/end users, resolve issues both internally & externally, provide sound & practical advice and seek practical & achievable solution in a positive/upbeat manner at all times.
- Demonstrate ability to work in an agile and ambiguous environment.
- Process strong analytical skills, meticulous with high level of integrity.
- Possesses a valid right to work in Singapore.
