As a QRA Automotive SSD RMA (Returned Material Authorization) Engineer/ Lead Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality and reliability of our SSD products. In this dynamic position, you will be performing Failure Analysis (FA) on Automotive class SSD Customer returned materials, driving continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams from Product and System engineering, Business teams and Customer facing teams to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying root causes, providing 8D/FA report, facilitate implementing corrective actions and shaping the future of our SSD technology.

You will also work with a team of technical engineers and technicians, focusing on SSD product quality and warranty process. You will summarize analysis at the electrical and physical level identifying root cause and you will also involve in resolving customers escalation and provide the problem-solving team with FA results and/or recommendation for FA plan. You will be required to administrate the communication of results to functional areas and sustain knowledge of drive characteristics. In addition, you will also serve as an SSD interface for external customer facing team providing data analysis and consultation when necessary.

For the lead position, you will oversee area workflow and priorities, determine resource needs and ensure overall area performance to plan is achieved and provide opportunities to expand skills and career growth.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive Electrical & Mechanical Verification FA on SSD customer returns, providing in-depth analysis and actionable insights.
- Generate detailed FA reports for external customers, ensuring accuracy and fostering trust.
- Manage escalations and effectively communicate RMA cases to internal teams, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of FA capabilities, staying ahead of industry trends and advancements.
- Set up and maintain debug systems for Design of Experiments (DOE) and error duplication, driving innovation and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary interface for SSD-related inquiries from external customer-facing teams, providing expert guidance and support.
- Support the creation and presentation of periodical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Pareto charts, highlighting areas for improvement and success.

Education Required:

- Bachelors Degree Electronics Engineering
- Related field of study

Experience:

- Competent in Failure Analysis/ System Test (preferred)
- Experience in relevant Storage Industry (such as SSD, NAND Flash, UFS, eMMC), manage complex technical issues, Interface with Customer (Desired)

Skills:

- A good understanding of SSD storage, functions, its architecture, and NAND flash memory function.
- Proficiency in computer hardware, debug tools and knowledge (PCIE, NVMe, SATA, Bus Tracer, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Good oral & written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly.
- Ability to work well in a close knit team environment
