Sephora SEA’s retail activity spans over 8 countries (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, India, Indonesia) with 100+ stores and boasts some global flagships such as Ion in Singapore and Pitt Street in Sydney. Its e-commerce activities span over eight countries (retail countries mentioned above excluding India, plus Philippines).

Sephora Digital’s Technology team builds products that power our business across South East Asia & Oceania. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our “User and Loyalty” squad, the team responsible for building products and features around authentication, authorization, user reviews and loyalty for our website & apps. This is a key position in the team as we increase our capacity to deliver an ambitious roadmap.

You will be designing features, building clean, secure and highly scalable systems around authentication and loyalty for our multi-tenant in-house build e-commerce engine. You make it possible for us to deliver an engaging and seamless customer experience to our many fans across 9 countries, and ensure that the online store remains our flagship in South East Asia. Reporting to an Engineering Manager you will work on high impact products which directly impact our revenue and customer satisfaction - two of our key metrics for success. - Leading, building and enhancement of scalable and secure authentication solutions that work across our different platforms and services.
- Working with stakeholders to create loyalty and reward mechanisms to increase customer engagement and delight users.
- Building and maintaining integrations with our 3rd party CRM and loyalty providers to enhance in-house functionality.
- Managing and mentor one or more Junior Software Engineers within the squad to help grow their capabilities.

**We would love to hear from you if**
- You have demonstrated experience in designing, building and maintaining scalable, adaptable APIs
- You value core software engineering practices (i.e. Data Structures, Algorithms, Scalability Security, Testing)
- You have a good understanding of web security, including common vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies as well as knowledge of common authentication/authorization protocols (eg. OAuth, JWT, etc.)
- You are very proficient in at least one modern high level programming languages like Ruby / Python etc.
- You have built engaging UIs with one or more modern Javascript frameworks Angular / Vue / React / Ember etc.
- You are a team player and happy to communicate with the other teams in the company (Product Managers, UI / UX Designers, and more importantly fellow engineers locally and abroad)

We work with Ruby on Rails / Vue js and write tests on a daily basis. Experience with these technologies and tools are desired but not an absolute requirement.
You probably have a computer science degree or relevant work-experience as a software engineer, but passion and demonstrated expertise are what we care about.
