Senior Credit Risk Analyst

**Role & Responsibilities**:
1. Assist the Head of Risk Management in the implementation of the overall company Risk Management Framework (policies, procedures and methodologies)；

2. Assist the Head of Risk Management in assessing risks facing the Company, mainly in the area of credit risk, and implement appropriate trading restrictions and risk mitigation measures；

3. Responsible for daily monitoring of the credit status of the counterparties, timely reporting adverse situations to relevant departments and Management, reporting any overdue balances, credit insurance and market movements to the Management on a timely basis；

4. Responsible for the management of trading counterparty credit limit and credit insurance, effectively collect market information, timely deactivation of unqualified trading counterparty and reduction of excess credit limit, and liaise with insurance company for sufficient credit insurance coverage；

5. Propose effective credit risk mitigation measures when the credit exposure exceeds the counterparty’s credit limits, in order to control the credit exposure within the credit risk framework approved by the company's board of directors and management；

6. Responsible for the effective credit evaluation of the company's (and the subsidiaries) counterparties, in accordance to the credit framework approved by the board of Directors and management, as well as recommendation of the corresponding credit terms for each counterparty；

7. Responsible for liaising with relevant departments to carry out evaluation of counterparty guarantee received by the company or subsidiaries, and follow up of relevant monitoring work；

8. Assist the Head of Risk Management to ensure that any changes to policies and procedures comply with company standards and are updated in appropriate SOPs；

9. Recommend and implement improvements and enhancements to controls, processes, risk modelling and mitigation measures in the credit risk management area；

10. Understand legal, compliance and market risk issues related to credit approval；

11. Participate and communicate credit related information with representatives of external credit rating agencies；

12. Communicate with other departments in the Company, such as Trading, Operations, Finance and Corporate Development, to better support the business；

13. Assist the Head of Risk Management in overseeing the company's business continuity management framework, including business impact analysis with stakeholders, risk management framework rollout and regular back testing；

14. Other tasks as assigned by the Head of Risk Management.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or equivalent ;
2. 5-8 years relevant working experience,preferably in energy trading industry;
3. Strong decision-making skills, **particularly in area of credit analysis and approval process **;
4 Demonstrate the following Supply & Trading Competencies: Understand the Energy Commodities Trading Industry & External Market (Skillful Application), Regulatory Compliance & Assurance (Skillful Application), Credit Risk Management (Expert Application), Other Risk Management (Basic Application), Quantitative & Analytical Skills (Skillful Application);
5. Strong team player with ability to work collaboratively with external vendors, and internal staff in the Trading, Risk Management, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Finance Departments;
6. Effectively bilingual in both English and Mandarin (as the position needs to frequently communicate with English/Chinese speaking associates verbally/ in writing whenever appropriate).
