Snr IT Analyst

**Position Summary**

In support of ASM’s growth ambition, the role of Senior IT Analyst (SAP BI), also known as the Solution Owner, will govern Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) solutions in ASM. The Analyst is responsible for supporting requirements, such as, designing data model solutions and developing BIA solution with S/4 HANA Embedded Analytics, SAP BW/4 HANA, SAP Analysis for Office and Power BI, or other tools. While ensuring the proposed solution adheres to policies, standards, and practices already in place and providing power users training.

Furthermore, the Analyst will also provide advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.), and ensure that relevant reporting information and metadata is governed and applied correctly. The individual should have a healthy degree of business acumen, preferably related to finance, sales or logistics field.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Own and govern on Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions in projects, change requests, incident requests and service requests to ensure best practices are adopted and business needs are met.
- Collaborates with Data Architect, Application Architects, IT Business Partners, Data Owners, Power Users, solution owners, and other stakeholders to ensure BIA solutions are fit for purpose and ASM’s ecosystem.
- Ensure that standards and guidelines are adhered to for documentation, development, source control, testing methodology, procedures, and knowledge base.
- Ensure our managed service partner is delivering project tasks, change requests and resolve incident tickets in reporting and dashboard area to quality and committed schedule.
- Proactively drive improvements in BIA solutions to eliminate root causes to business problems that also reduce incident requests and change requests to IT.
- Provide support, guidance, and training to users with focusing on power users and user group.
- Influence business community to adopt self-service and interactive BIA best practices to reduce total cost of ownership while meeting business needs.
- Participate in the Business Intelligence and Analytics community within ASM.

**Job Requirements**

**Education**

A degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a relevant professional in related field.

**Experience and skills**
- Minimum 5 years IT or equivalent business experience, with at least 3 years experience in using BIA solution with Embedded Analytics/SAC, SAP Analysis for Office or Microsoft Power BI or any other BIA Solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling (star schema facts, dimension tables/calculation views).
- Must have knowledge in S/4 HANA embedded analytics (Fiori, CDS view) and data warehouse (SAP BW/4 HANA), with good functional knowledge in either SAP finance, sales or logistics area.
- Strong analytical ability, process oriented and recommends industry best practices during the design and requirement gathering process.
- Ability to influence internal stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) governance processes (audit trail, data lineage and business-to-technical metadata definition).
- Good to have experience in data preparation and performance fine-tuning of queries, reports, and dashboard.
- Good to have experience in using Azure Data Lake, and the Azure stack.
- Good to have experience in manufacturing environment with data analysis, big data, machine learning are advantageous.
- Proficiency in other analytical tools such as Tableau or QlikView is a strong plus.
