**Position objective and summary**
- Responsible for inspection of products during different stages of production.
- Ensure quality requirements and acceptance criteria are achieved in accordance to classification societies or customer requirements.

**Main tasks / activities / responsibilities**
- Perform inspection of products according to classification societies or customer requirements. Ensure quality requirements and acceptance criteria are met.
- Prepare document deliverables as per classification societies or customer’s order confirmation upon delivery.
- Operate test lab equipment (tensile test and chemical analysis) to ensure materials meet the required specifications.
- Prepare test / repair procedure whenever needed.
- Raise non-conformance if any and report to immediate supervisor.
- Interact with customer / surveyor and production personnel on quality requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist QA Manager in managing Quality Management System. This includes conducting internal audits,up-keeping of documents etc.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Adhere to good housekeeping, environmental and safety practices.

**Job requirements**
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
- Know-how in one or more of these areas GD&T, NDT, welding, steel fabrication, non-ferrous material casting, and machining technology will be preferred.
- Familiar with ISO 9001 requirements & different marine classification societies’ standards and requirements will be an added advantage.
- Independent, resourceful, and good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Autocad.
