We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Assistant Engineer**to join our **Opto-Mechanical Assembly**team. This is an exciting opportunity for fresh polytechnic graduates who are passionate about precision engineering, optics, and hands-on technical work.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the **assembly of optical and mechanical components**in a clean, controlled environment
- Perform **alignment, bonding, and integration**of optical parts using specialized tools and fixtures
- Design fixtures and maintain the fixture DWGs to aid technician in the assembly build
- Support **testing, inspection, and calibration**of assembled units to ensure quality and performance standards
- Read and interpret **technical drawings, work instructions, and SOPs**:

- Report assembly issues and assist in **troubleshooting and resolving**technical problems
- Collaborate with engineers to improve assembly processes and product reliability
- Maintain documentation for production records and quality compliance

**Requirements**:

- **Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field**from a recognized Polytechnic in Singapore
- Keen interest in **precision assembly**and working with optical/mechanical components
- Good understanding of **mechanical drawings**and basic metrology tools
- Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and patience for fine manual work
- A proactive team player with good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a technical environment

**Nice to Have (Not Mandatory)**
- Internship or project experience in optical or mechanical assembly
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 manufacturing practices
