Our client is actively searching for a **Senior Systems Engineer or Lead System Engineer (Systems and Platform) **to join their team

Reporting to Head of Systems and Platform, you will be part of highly motivated and passionate IT team to explore, learn and contribute towards University's transformational goals of moving towards a more agile, secure, operational efficient and sustainable infrastructure.

**The responsibilities of this role are**:

- Supporting senior engineer or IT Architect to analyse, design, plan, enhance and implement VMware virtualize infrastructure, Hybrid Cloud infrastructure and Cloud Management Platform.
- Responsible for system design, planning, administration and management activities below in a Software-Defined Data Centre (SDDC) environment, which is fast-changing, highly virtualized, automated and software driven:
a.Provision of virtual machines, host-based firewalls, network connection and network attached storage, etc.
b. System capacity planning; fault, performance and configuration management; software upgrade and security patches, etc.
c. Continuous systems operations and automation via coding, scripting and other software tools (e.g. HCL BigFix, Trend Micro Deep Security, Venafi and etc.) for enhanced efficiency, accuracy and service levels.
- Continuously update the relevant documents for SDDC operations, support, code controls and reviews.
- A relevant university degree with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
- Hands on exposure to systems administration (windows, Unix or Linux), virtualizations infrastructure administration, public cloud administration, operational
tools administration, security tools administration and containers infrastructure.
- Exposure to the following areas**:API and scripting languages such as Power CLI, Python, Java Script, Shell script and etc.**:

- Understanding of IT related services and processes that encompassed them.
- Self-motivated and results oriented with excellent analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellence verbal and written communication skills.
