**Data Center Technician (5 days week normal shift)**

Responsible for providing day-to-day technical and operational support at the in-house Data Center building. This position will work closely with local Facilities Engineer and provide backup support for Facilities maintenance activities.
- Data center equipment monitoring, maintenance and improvement
- Unbox, inventory, and deploy servers, storage, and other equipment in racks/cabinets in data centers
- Cable copper, fiber, and power between servers and end points
- Installations and decommissions (rack and stack, cable management etc.)
- Perform hardware troubleshooting and component replacement (break/fix).
- Power management - configure and maintain PDU, complete necessary documentation, and adjust rack power distribution as needed
- Provide vendor escort and support for hardware or other maintenance issues
- Prepare and coordinate all supporting documents related to purchase requisitions
- Maintain safety procedures and process in accordance to site safety requirements
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and physical appearance, including cable management, of data centers

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Nitec with relevant experience
- 1 year+ experience working with Ethernet or fiber cables
- 1 year+ experience troubleshooting computer hardware like HDDs, DIMMs, CPUs and physical network connections
- 1 year+ experience working with rack mounted network switches/routers and servers
- Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. of equipment
- Previous work in a Data Center environment
- Networking or computer certifications
