You will perform specialized laboratory tests to support stem cell transplant services using specialized equipment in a clinical haematology laboratory. Your duties will include:

- Processing, testing and cryopreservation of blood products from bone marrow and/or peripheral blood;
- Following standard operating instructions closely for individual processing procedures, maintaining and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation;
- Preparing and assisting with the release and re-infusion of cellular therapy products for transplantation.
- Carrying out specialized test procedures related to stem cell preservation, manipulation and storage.

Relevant training will be provided if necessary. Your other responsibilities may include technical validation, quality assurance and inventory management in compliance with our organization’s technical and safety guidelines.**Auto req ID**

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Biomedical Science, Biological Science, Medical Technology or its equivalent
- Diploma in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences or any other equivalent qualification may be considered for the position of Junior Medical Technologist.
- Prior knowledge and interest in practical aspects of cryopreservation will be an advantage.
- Able to work independently as well as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good team player with strong communication skills
- You might be required to work on extended and/or after working hours, weekends or public holidays to meet the hospital needs.
