**Analyst, LNG Quant**

We are working with an international trading company to hire for a Quant Analyst to focus on LNG trading. The role will involve working closely with various teams including the LNG Trading, Operations, Shipping, Delivery, to provide analytical support on portfolio optimization, derivatives pricing, and fundamental research.

**ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Produce transaction economics for LNG trading and optimization possibilities, including LNG market and term cargo and chartering arrangements, regional trading opportunity, and energy optimization.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Conversion Optimization Team’s processes and strategies by doing research and providing recommendations to aid in strategic decisions.
- Establish, restructure, and maintain internal tools for mark-to-market, efficiency, and economic analysis tasks.
- Reconcile the post-trade P&L and exposure adjustments as indicated in the ETRM system with the pre-trade economics. Notify major internal stakeholders, such as Trading, Risk, and Commercial Shipping, of the results.
- To support the opinions of traders and top management when managing the portfolio and controlling mark-to-market exposures, deliver quantitative and scenario research.
- Assist in operational risk management

**QUALIFICATION**
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- A master’s degree is an added advantage.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

At least 1-2 years of experience as a quantitative analyst, trading analyst, quantitative research, cargo operator, risk analyst within a commodity industry or banking environment will be relevant.

Prior experience in LNG cargo operations economics and LNG optimization tools will be advantageous.

**COMPETENCIES**
- The applicant should be well-versed in the pricing and exposure control of commodity market trades.
- It is necessary to have experience in Object-Oriented Programming in Python and VBA
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving ability, are required.
- The capacity to take charge, operate autonomously, and collaborate the capacity to take the lead, work autonomously, and continually strive to implement best techniques

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
