As a Full-Time English Teacher at The Alternative Story (T.A.S.), you will be teaching 2-hour English tuition and Creative Writing classes to Primary/Secondary School students. **Required Qualifications**
- Passionate about working with children

- Energetic, passionate and having a youthful attitudeSingaporeans holding a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field)

**Preferred Qualifications**
- At least 1 year experience teaching children in a classroom setting (MOE and/or special needs teaching background is a plus)
- Familiar with the Singapore Primary/Secondary School English syllabus and its challengesGraduate from a local university (NUS, NTU, SMU)

**Other Details of the Role**
- Attractive compensation and benefits package (Around $4,200 gross monthly salary, with opportunities to be rewarded with performance incentives and bonuses)
- **Comprehensive theory and practical training**will be given on an ongoing basis, helping to continuously build your skills in areas such as communication, mentoring and problem solving
- Flexibility to telecommute outside of class timing
- Opportunities to be exposed in other key functions such as developing materials and planning curriculum are available, if keen
- At least 10-12 classes a week (2 hours per class)
- Work schedule to include Friday evenings and at least 1 day of the weekend
- 2 days off a week (1 weekday and 1 weekend ideally)
- **Must be able to work at Bukit Timah Central, Tampines Central, Marine Parade OR Ang Mo Kio**and 1 other branch (if necessary).
- 1-year contract position with possibility of extension/conversion to permanent
- Commit to work till **end of 2026*
- *As the training period will take 1 to 1.5 months, new teachers will only start taking classes from July 2025 onwards. Classes will typically end in 1st week of Dec. We require teachers to see the students/classes through a full academic year as much as possible.**About The Alternative Story**
