**About TUMCREATE**
TUMCREATE is a multidisciplinary research platform of the Technical University Munich (TUM) at the Singapore Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE). We are joining forces with universities, public agencies, and industry for the advancement of future technologies.

A new project, “Singapore’s Pathway to Carbon Neutrality: Analysis of New Technologies”, has been launched. The aim of this project is to analyse options for alternative energy supply for Singapore such as import of electricity from neighbouring countries, long-distance high-voltage direct-current connections, alternative fuels such as hydrogen or synthetic fuels.

**Job Title**:
Research Fellow (Support of Energy Model Development)

**Objective of the position**:
We are looking for a Research Fellow to assist in developing a model of Singapore’s spatiotemporal energy demand. This model will be based on energy demand models previously developed at TUMCREATE and TUM. This is a full-time 9-month contract.

**Responsibilities**:

- Review of existing energy demand and supply models developed at TUMCREATE and

TUM
- Analysis of Singapore’s final energy sector including the residential, commercial, industrial and service sector, as well as harbour and airport
- Development of a first model of Singapore’s energy demand
- Presentation of the results for publications in at least one international scientific journal

**Job Requirements**:

- PhD in Power or Electrical Engineering or a related field with at least 1 year of experience
- Proven track record in energy and power system modelling
- Knowledge of energy and power systems, energy markets, energy conversion technology
- Programming knowledge (preferably Python and MATLAB)
- Ability to interact with other researchers and define a working structure
- Good English writing and communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills for working in an international research team with people of different backgrounds
