**About the role**

An exciting opportunity to join our Business Intelligence Solutions teams as an ETL Developer This role will create and manage loading of BI data flows that source from different systems into our Data Warehouse. This role is based out of the Regional office in Singapore and reports to the broader MIS function.

**What you will be doing**
- Work with technical and business teams to review, analyze and define requirements for new development and enhancements to/maintenance of existing systems.
- Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources; as well as ensure data is verified and quality is maintained.
- Document test plan, test cases and test scripts.
- Analyze production problems, realize / recommend loading correction.
- Maintain technical documentation of database content, ETL jobs and server configuration up to date.
- Troubleshoot data/report/database issues logged in helpdesk ticketing system from end-to-end to identify root cause.

Information security**:

- Ensure the implementation of information security measures within the entity and the geographical scope
- Ensure the maintenance in operation of the Information Security Management System
- Ensure the proper management of access to information systems
- Handle IT and security Incident according to defined protocols and workflows, evaluate risk and impact, escalate to higher level if required
- Create awareness within the IT teams and the local entity regarding information security and information protection topics
- Ensure software licensing agreements are adhered too.
- Report weaknesses and vulnerabilities to regional teams and to management.
- Ensure the continuity of information systems by implementing and monitoring backups and disaster recovery plans.

**The successful applicant**

Essential
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Intelligence, IT or related data disciplines
- At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence ETL development.
- Good oral and written English.
- Strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server, Transact-SQL and SSIS.
- Development experience with any of the following tools (ordered by preference): Databricks, SSIS, Transact-SQL.
- Good knowledge of relational and multidimensional data models (star schemas, cubes).
- Basic knowledge of financial reporting (P&L, BS, CF) is a must.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and manage own workload. Proactive, able to suggest improvements of processes, systems, code... and prioritize them.
- Familiar with project management concepts (Waterfall and Agile).

Desirable
- Experience with / knowledge of at least one of the functional areas: finance management, customer relationships and sales, freight forwarding or logistics operations.
- Experience with / knowledge of finance (non-banking), transportation or logistics domains.
- Experience with / understanding of OLAP solutions and MDX (TM1 especially).
- Willing to work with and learn new technologies.
