Singapore AVENSYS CONSULTING Full time

We are looking for 2-3 strong **onshore** SME with solid experience on **Elastic search/ observability scripting.**

1. **Architectural Design**
- **System Architecture**: Design and implement scalable Elasticsearch architectures tailored to organizational needs.
- **Best Practices**: Establish best practices for indexing, querying, and managing Elasticsearch clusters.

2. **Performance Optimization**
- **Query Optimization**: Analyze and optimize Elasticsearch queries to improve performance and response times.
- **Resource Management**: Monitor resource utilization and suggest optimizations to ensure efficient operation.

3. **Scripting and Automation**
- **Scripting Solutions**: Develop scripts (e.g., in Python, Bash) for automating tasks related to data ingestion, indexing, and querying.
- **Observability Tools**: Implement and customize observability tools (e.g., Kibana, Grafana) to visualize and monitor data effectively.

4. **Troubleshooting and Support**
- **Issue Resolution**: Serve as a primary resource for troubleshooting and resolving Elasticsearch-related issues.
- **Root Cause Analysis**: Conduct root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks or failures.

5. **Training and Mentorship**
- **Knowledge Transfer**: Provide training sessions and workshops to upskill team members on Elasticsearch and observability practices.
- **Documentation**: Create and maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.

6. **Collaboration with Teams**
- **Cross-Functional Work**: Collaborate with development, operations, and data teams to ensure seamless integration of Elasticsearch into workflows.
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to explain complex concepts clearly.

7. **Continuous Improvement**
- **Stay Updated**: Keep abreast of the latest developments in Elasticsearch and observability tools.
- **Evaluate New Tools**: Assess and recommend new tools and technologies that could enhance data observability and analysis.

8. **Compliance and Security**
- **Data Governance**: Ensure that Elasticsearch implementations comply with data governance and security policies.
- **Access Control**: Set up and manage access controls and permissions within Elasticsearch to safeguard sensitive data.

9. **Monitoring and Alerting**
- **Monitoring Setup**: Configure monitoring systems to track Elasticsearch performance metrics.
- **Alerting Mechanisms**: Implement alerting systems for proactive issue detection and response.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $5,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Elasticsearch: 5 years (preferred)
- Observability scripting: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- work permit with sponsorship to work in Singapore (preferred)
