**The position**:
This position is responsible for handling edging and mounting prescriptions lenses into customer’s frames and ensuring the finished spectacle is in good condition before sending it to customers.

The following is a detailed, but not exhaustive, listing of the hands-on tasks you will undertake in the role:
**Edging & Mounting**:

- Receive and unpack lenses from the lens envelope, first check on the lenses condition.
- Checking lenses by using the lensometer to ensure the lens power is accurate and do marking for the optical center and axis according to the orders request.
- Perform tracer machine to trace on the spectacle frame/ lens to get the lens shape and size.
- Operate edging machine to edge the lenses into lens shape that required, and gently mounting it on customer’s frame.
- Operate drilling and grooving machine to fulfill Rimlon and Rimless frame requirements.
- Retouch or chamfer the lenses by machine/ hand edge when needed. E.g., lens oversize, transfer frame etc.
- Quality check for every job to ensure meets the company’s standard, before sending it out to customers.

**Other**:

- Keep all the machine and accessories clean and put it in place.
- Perform machine maintenance and calibration on time.
- Keep the workplace (Edging room) clean and tidy.

- 1year proven experience in edging & mounting or relevant experience.
- Optical experience is an advantage.

- A team player with great interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude.

- Able to work overtime when required.
- Able to stand for long hours.
- 5.5 days’ work week
- Mon - Fri, 8.00am - 5.00pm
- Sat, 8.30am - 1pm
