Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting on all residents enquiries and requests; ensuring accurate delivery of residents’ luggage; and to provide hotel lobby and driveway coverage at all times.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform all Bell desk tasks including but not limited to welcoming guests at the main entrance with appropriate greetings of the day in a friendly and helpful manner, attempting to learn and use residents’s name discreetly at every opportunity; assisting guest with luggage, packages, coats, public transport arrangements; opening and closing of car and taxi doors as well as the main entrance, delivery of daily newspapers; rooming and escorting guests according to established policies and procedures.
- Perform essential Concierge tasks including but not limited to booking hotel transportations, handling hold for arrival or collection items for residents, providing restaurants recommendation; and making arrangements for tours.
- Be familiar with information pertaining to hotel products and services, key points of interests, restaurants, theatres, shopping, cinemas, sporting and recreational facilities, banks, consulates, transport systems and special events.
- Ensure the safety and security of all residents at the hotel lobby and driveway.
- Ensure the cleanliness of workstation, baggage store, valet desk, and hotel lobby and driveway.
- Attend to resident’s enquiries and requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Receive training in functions and operations of related departments/sections to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments/sections and to provide greater promotional opportunities.
- Ensure proper communication and handover within the team and other Front of the House colleagues.
- Performs any other job tasks as assigned within reasonable means.
**Requirements**:
- Secondary/High School qualification, or its equivalent certification.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in the Hotel industry.
- Good verbal and excellent communication skills.
