**About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced GP to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate and high-quality primary care to a diverse range of patients, from newborns to adults, across the full spectrum of health concerns. You will work collaboratively with our existing GPs, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure continuous and coordinated care for our patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough medical consultations, taking detailed patient histories and performing physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, including those requiring minor procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice and patient preferences.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging.
- Prescribe medications and provide education on their use and potential side effects.
- Refer patients to specialists and other health services when necessary.
- Promote preventative care and provide health education to patients on healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Attend regular team meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in general practice through ongoing professional development.

**Qualifications**:

- Registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
- Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in general practice is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current best practices in primary care.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to working with other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care that is respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive.
