OPERATIONAL DATA ANALYST
**[What you will be working on]**
What you will be as a Data Analyst within an operational environment. Working within the operations division, you will focus on deriving business insights from large and real-time operational datasets to enhance operational efficiency, process optimization, and strategic planning.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines that transform operational data into actionable insights, enabling better decision-making across the division. In your role, you will be maintaining a data warehouse and analytics environment specifically focused on operational metrics, developing data integration pipelines for operational systems, and devising data models that support operational reporting and analysis. You will work closely with operations stakeholders to define requirements, mine and analyse operational data, integrate data from various operational sources, and deploy data pipelines to support the division's analytical needs.
**[What we are looking for]**
- Knowledge in IT-related or statistics is preferred
- Strong knowledge in data management, relational databases, SQL and ETL
- Strong passion for operational analytics and extensive experience solving operational problems using quantitative approaches
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills to communicate complex operational data quality issues in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
- Keen sense in value of operational data relating to business objectives
- Good knowledge in statistical modelling and machine learning/AI algorithms for operational optimization
- Good knowledge in data visualisation tools like Tableau, and data analysis/processing tools like Python
- Experience working with large and real-time operational datasets
- Experience with distributed computing for data processing (like Spark) is a plus
- Experience in the development of data pipelines on the cloud
