The HSE Supervisor proactively assisting and supporting the Management Team of the entity to ensure that the SHEQ policy is implemented and strictly followed up on within the organisation and that all SHEQ processes, procedures and instructions are clear, established, applied and continuously improved where and when necessary. Perceiving deviations and/or risk of deviations, possible dangerous situations, reporting these to and taking measures pro-actively in consultation with the SHEQ Manager.

**Your job as a HSE Supervisor in a nutshell:
**1. SHEQ & Compliance**
- Responsible for motivating/ensuring everyone works safely and according to the Sarens’ SHEQ standards, as stated in document of SHEQ department - Responsibilities Manager with Regard to Safety, Quality & Environment, to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient, and qualitative way.
- Complies with the attitude of Lean and continuous improvements in the organization.
- Visits various sites/locations and fill in a WPI on regular basis.
- Responsible for ensuring that all executed activities and processes are in compliance with Sarens’ SHEQ standards, policies, instructions, and legislation.
**2. Key tasks & responsibilities**
- Inspections and risk assessments of work places, sites, etc. and actively pointing out the ‘how-to’ on SHEQ and prevention of risks to employees.
- Incident & Accident investigation.
- Implementing and monitoring the compliance with SHEQ policy, processes and procedures.
- Supporting SHEQ Manager all-round and following up of his/her instructions.
- Striving for continuous improvement towards own performance and that of department.
- Being an ambassador of Sarens towards (future) clients, suppliers, other third parties and internally.
**3. Work place inspections / risk assessments**
- Performs work place/site inspections together with SHEQ Manager, supervisors and management to coach them in spotting SHEQ risks, how to correct pro-actively potential dangerous situations and to take preventative and corrective actions.
- Performs internal audits together with SHEQ Manager and monitors the following up of the measures taken.
- Discuss findings and propose corrective measures with the supervisors and management and check whether these are indeed followed up on.
- Registering of and reporting on agreed corrective actions in the relevant database for follow-up and spotting trends.
- Implements lessons learned from inspections and findings in the form of improved processes, procedures and instructions in consultation with SHEQ Manager.
- Taking of immediate action towards supervisors, management and employees to correct (potentially) dangerous situations.
**4. Incident & Accident investigation**
- Actively and efficiently supporting of supervisors/managers in incidents & accidents investigation.
- Install actions to avoid happening in the future and check whether these are being executed and if not, take measures in consultation with SHEQ Manager.
**5. SHEQ policy**
- Assisting the SHEQ Manager in drafting the SHEQ policies, procedures and instructions. Pro-actively propose ideas, action plans and improvements.
- Assisting the SHEQ Manager in implementing and monitoring the following up on the SHEQ policy, procedures and instructions given.
**6. Reporting, Information supply and Administration**
- Assisting the SHEQ Manager in periodic reports on SHEQ topics of the Sarens entity concerned where and when asked and in line with company requirements and standards.
- Inform organisation both on request and unsolicited on SHEQ issues and potential risks.
- Ensuring, under supervision of SHEQ Manager, that all relevant legislation is complied with, all required documents, certificates and other administration is up to date and in place.
- Supplying and drafting of information on relevant data required: Frequency Rates, Severity Rates, Risk Assessments, Inspection Reports, etc.
**7. Communication**
- Maintaining contact and effective working relations with internal and external relevant parties.
- Attending meetings of own department in contributing manner and attending other meetings when and where required.
- Together with SHEQ manager drafting and spreading of information and communication on SHEQ - assisting in preparing the toolbox meetings, safety newsletters, safety alerts, site visits, one-on-one’s, etc.
**8. Improvement**
- Initiate continuous improvement initiatives for own performance in consultation with SHEQ manager and following up on them.

- Participate in (improvement) Projects.
- Following training courses and growth paths within the framework of the job and/or performance.
**9. Training**
- Organise induction schemes on SHEQ topics and other training sessions for personnel on SHEQ matters in consultation with SHEQ Manager, to increase SHEQ awareness and minimize SHEQ
