Assistant Rigging Supervisor

**Introduction to the job**

At Technip Singapore, we are looking for an experienced **Assistant Rigging Supervisor **to join our multicultural offshore workforce, supporting OneFleet and who will be responsible for all rigging undertaken by the Company. They will assist the Rigging Supervisor and where appropriate will have a special responsibility for project equipment and materials and will deputise for the Rigging Supervisor as and when required.

**Job description**
- All rigging operations undertaken are in accordance with the safe working practice
- All lifting rigging (shackles, slings, strips, etc.) are in good condition and are certified prior to being put in use
- The deck is maintained in a safe manner and that all potential hazards, e.g. oil spill, cable run, small steel up-stands (old sea fastenings) are either removed or safety controls put in place and maintained
- The rigging crew is briefed on the work scope and that they are fully aware of any safety precautions to be observed. This includes performing Tool Box Talks (TBT) where required
- Equipment deployed to Divers subsea is rigged safely, adequately marked (light sticks etc.) and in a suitable manner for the Divers to safely perform their task
- All project rigging is color coded in accordance with project requirements
- All project rigging is returned on project completion
- Any project rigging that is defective or suspect of being defective is quarantined accordingly
- Flexible or umbilical pipe integrity is not compromised during handling on deck and through pipelay equipment
- Where required on large complex jobs the Assistant Rigging Supervisor will liaise with the Project Engineer to ensure that all project equipment and materials are available on the vessel in sufficient quantities to perform the work scope, safely stored and adequately marked / isolated to prevent their misuse or damage and correctly prepared for deployment

- Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Project/safety briefings

**You are meant for this job if you**

**Must have**
- OPITO accredited Rigging Supervisory/advanced certification or equivalent
- OPITO accredited Rigging and Lifting certification or equivalent
- OPITO accredited Banksman Slinger certification or equivalent
- Valid offshore European survival certificate (OPITO)
- Valid offshore medical certificate (OGUK)

Plus
- Good working knowledge of written and oral English language
- Good experience at a Supervisory level on offshore construction vessels
- Sound knowledge of good rigging and lifting practice
- Good understanding and working knowledge of current legislation and guidance
- Good understanding and working knowledge of Quality Health Safety & Environment (QHS&E) safety management systems
- Appreciation of general Information Technology (IT) methods with the required practical computer skills
