**JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this role is to strengthen Sygna APAC’s Quality Safety & Health capabilities and promote a culture of Quality, Health, Safety, and environmental excellence. Its overall responsibility covers the development and implementation of statutory compliant health and safety policies and systems, introduction of initiatives to drive a quality, health & safety culture within the company and ensure the timely delivery of HSE aspects in our projects.

The role will report to APAC Technical Director. It will cover the APAC region.

**JOB DUTIES
- Direct the QESH department in the implementation & maintenance of the IMS to comply with the requirements of the company’s current ISO accreditations and the different Health and Safety requirements, instructions and rules specified for Sygna’s projects across APAC.
- Analyse feedback of information from customers and in-house quality issues to recommend changes to the Quality system, procedures and work methods.
- Be the point of contact for QESH issues raised by customers external & internal.
- Drive complaints investigations through to completion with agreed business lead times and critically review and approve all investigation conclusions
- Assist the QESH team with and carry out comprehensive internal audits as per the agreed audit schedule to validate the business performance against policies and procedures.
- Where required, to visit work sites/customers to liaise on QESH issues.
- Liaise with all departments to promote awareness of QESH principles, and hold meetings with key stakeholders to drive improvements.
- Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors on QESH issues to extend the quality service of the company.
- Liaise with third party organisations where required on system audit and quality issues.
- Ensure that all records are an accurate indication of events.
- Ensure that appropriate records and documentation required by legislation are maintained and recorded correctly.
- Ensure that management and staff are kept informed on matters related to the company that have an impact on QESH issues through meetings and Tool Box Talks.
- Organise & coordinate HSE training with help from Sygna’s CoE committee & other activities to promote HSE culture.
- Support all QESH directives within the company to ensure that the company is compliant with current legislation.
- Continually provide resource to support update of QESH policies in accordance with any changes of personnel or legislation. Ensure that all health and safety statutory requirements are complied with in relation to our project requirements.
- Lead in development, review and update of the company’s Occupational Health and Safety Policies, plans and objectives; its applicability to local statutory requirements and implementation within the live business environment.
- Act as H&S representative of the Company and take lead on safety compliance, audit and address project HSE requirements.
- Introduce and ensure proper accident, incident and hazard reporting and investigations through to completion with agreed business lead times. Critically review and approve all investigation conclusions.
- Develop and compile regular H&S report to senior management and review H&S performance.
- Develop and train all site management personnel to ensure a focused and improved approach to Occupational Health and Safety.
- Develop a Management Information System that facilitate a proactive and analytical approach to method statements, risk assessments and safety evaluations. Develop a scoring system for site safety reviews.
- Implement post project health, safety, and environmental reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop safety workshop procedures that can be implemented on a regular basis on site. Conduct continuous review and audit of the procedure.
- Undertake any appointment or duties the company considers appropriate to your abilities.
- Support senior leaders wherever necessary.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS
**_Knowledge / Qualifications _**
- Acute awareness of Occupational Health and safety
- Acute awareness of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
- Preferred degree / Diploma in related discipline or other similar qualifications

Membership of professional body / At least a NEBOSH certification in occupational health & safety or equivalent.
- Computer literate - Microsoft Office.
- Good command of English.

- 15 years or more years of relevant working experience.
