Job Description Summary

As a Resident Engineer, supports customer on site in operation and maintenance of the GT26 power block by being the on site consultant on technical issues and being a liaison between GE HQ, Engineering and customer. Supports the CPM in planning and executing the outages.

**Job Description**:
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Based out of site, works closely with the customer's operation and maintenance personnel and support on day to day operation of the covered equipment as guided in the relevant contract to meet the contractual guarantees on availability and reliability.
- Understands safety standards and responsible for individual and equipment safety while performing the tasks.
- Supports Contract Performance Manager (CPM) and customer on technical and commercial activities on site in terms of outage planning, upgrades, upkeeping of the plant as needed.
- Performed duties as and when directed by the Service Director and the CPM to ensure the unit reliability and be available on site to support the emergent work needed as being part of the customer's Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team.
- Submission of reports, engineering sheet and technical data requested by the Company pertaining to the scope of Work under this Contract;
- Carry outs daily inspection on the Gas Turbine and its auxiliaries systems, highlight and alert the Company on any abnormality or major defects found during normal operation, propose remedial action and recommend the safe operating mode of the Gas Turbine

**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant technical qualifications.
- Minimum 7 years of working experiences in Power plant and familiar with Alspa control systems to trouble shoot and identify the operational and maintenance issues and advise customer accordingly.
- Minimum 3 years of Power plant commissioning or operations experiences with GE (Legacy
- Alstom) GT26 Gas Turbine
- Shall be knowledgeable in the GT26 Operation & Maintenance, to provide technical advisory support during the Contract Period. He shall relay any abnormality to the OEM’s design office, mobilize resources to assist in trouble shooting, investigating, and proposing of immediate and long term remedial actions and preventive measures for speedy recovery of the unit;
- Experiences as Technical Field Advisors or commissioning engineers would be a ideal fit with field experiences.
- Understands site safety and quality standards and acts as an advocate for both safety and quality.

- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining the safety and quality requirements.
- Exposure to LEAN methodologies with the continuous improvement mindset. will be an added advantage
